Consensual Decision Making

Decisions at Project Learn School are made through a modified consensus. Here at PLS, we believe in consensus as a process which honors our values of community, inclusivity, creativity and voice. It allows each of our families to participate and work together to make decisions. We are all responsible for the well-being of the school.

The consensus process encourages us to thoroughly and thoughtfully discuss and pose various options, and then determine the decision that best satisfies the community. It is not a set of rules and procedures, but a cooperative spirit. This process is used throughout all committee and staff meetings. Committees are open and new members are always welcomed.
