Cooperative Learning

Teachers work with students to facilitate the sharing of ideas and opinions, helping students learn to discuss, and listen to one another, to accept the legitimacy of changing their minds, and to develop collective plans that are meaningful to everyone.  At PLS, school is not just about individual achievement. We don’t want our students to ‘get ahead in the world’ if that means leaving someone else behind. For us, learning is always about working together, learning from one another, sharing resources, and celebrating collaborative successes.
