Community Room
Just like the real Community Room at PL, this is a place where people can go to see what's happening at the school, post new information or requests for help, and comment on what other people have posted.
PL Camping Trip - June 3rd & June 4th 2010
For our 20th annual PL Camping Trip we will be returning to HICKORY RUN STATE PARK. The park is approximately 2 hours from school by car. All Groups will be staying overnight. Kids in Jane’s & Maryanne’s Groups must have a parent with them to go and stay overnight. Thus, we need lots of drivers (even if you can only drive one way) and lots of parents to stay overnight. We have to be out of Hickory Run by 11:00 AM on Friday, June 4th and we expect to be back to PL between 12:30 & 1:30 PM . You must pick up your child from school at that time. THERE IS NO AFTER SCHOOL ON THAT DAY!!!
Please see the attached document for more information and the permission slip form!
Class Baskets - Help Needed!
The count-down is on! Please help!
If you have already donated an item(s) to put in our Theme Baskets for Raffle at our up-coming June fundraiser – Thanks. If not, we really need your help! If every family donates at least one item for each class basket, it will make our fundraiser a great success!
Syringe Needed!!!!
Iman and Mercedes are in need of a syringe for their bioluminescence Science Fair Project. If anyone has access to one please contact us at liamtunes@mac.com. It would be helpful if you had more then one. Thank You!
Straw Bale Needed
Composters! Wait until the sun shines, then go visit the brand new compost bins in the yard! Freshly constructed by many hands at school, Tal Ben-Yaacov and Lisa's Group were the master craftsmen in charge of the project. Ask a member of Aubrey's group if you're curious about composting, but we could use your help early on. We're in need of some "brown material" and could use a straw bale to get us started. Contact Liam if you have one laying around or you have a straw connection. Many thanks, pura vida.

We would also like to sincerely thank Nancy Braun and all of the PLS staff for their commitment to Aubrey’s groupers over the last several months. Everyone pulled together,
and the children are all the better for it.
Congratulations to Nancy Braun
The Hiring Committee is happy to share that Nancy Braun was recently offered the 1-2 primary group teaching position for the next school year. Nancy enthusiastically accepted!
Besides filling in for Aubrey over the last several months, Nancy comes to PLS with strong educational and experiential credentials. Nancy received her Master of Science in Education
Welcome to the new Project Learn School website!
We're pleased to welcome you to the new Project Learn School website! As a member of our online community, you'll be able to log on, see upcoming school news and events, join the online "rooms" that your kids' teachers maintain (complete with their own news and calendars), and even post your own items to the Community Room section of the site. For anyone concerned about information security, rest assured that the community section of the site is private, so your activities and posts will stay where they should, in the community.
